I don’t know about you, but I remember growing up with Pirate Paks. My parents used to go to the White Spot down on Marine Drive and also the one in Oakridge, and I’d have my little pirate pak. It was so exciting to get this wonderful paper boat with your straw as a sail and a golden coin!

WhiteSpot is bringing back it’s special edition for the grownups (which I guess includes me now, sigh!) on August 15th with $2 from each pirate pak (both kids and adult) going to Zajac Ranch for Children.

Zajac Ranch is a BC charity for children and young adults living with life-threatening illnesses and chronic disabilities a fantastic summer camp experience.

In the past four years, this campaign has helped WhiteSpot raise over $152,000 for the ranch.

The special edition Adult Pak is ONLY available on the 15th and starts at $10.99. It features either the Legendary, Bacon Cheddar Bigger, Provolone Veggie or the BC Chicken Burger. You also get fries, a soft drink, a scoop of ice cream and – YES, a gold coin!

Nat Bailey wanted to provide a fun dining experience for kids under 10 and in 1968 the Pirate Pak was born. The Pirate Pak celebrates its 44th anniversary this year and for just $5.99, kids can choose from a hamburger, grilled cheese sandwich, spaghetti and meatball, my personal fave – macaroni and cheese, lightly battered Pacific Cod or a pizza combo. Since 1968 over 22 million Pirate Paks have been sold!
