Starbucks Pies

Starbucks recently rolled out new mini-pies that are part of their Petites line. They are about 1 1/2″ – 2″ in diameter and you have your choice of Cherry or Apple. They are $1.60 for each and 2/$3.

The Cherry Pie is sweet but tart and the crust is a bit chewy – possibly undercooked. I think that the filling is good, but the crust should be more flaky like a regular cherry pie.

The Apple Pie is better tasting with sweet apple and cinnamon filling. It’s not as sweet as many of the Starbucks’ pastries, so these two pies are a good addition to their line up. My only gripe again, is the crust. I wish it was less moist and more crumbly.
