Whistler is a fantastic destination if you’re visiting the Vancouver area (or even living in the city). It’s only a couple hours drive up the scenic Sea-to-Sky highway. While there are many options in terms of accommodations, I’d recommend staying right in Whistler Village so that it’s fairly central and walkable.

The hotel we stayed at during our media trip was the Hilton Whistler. It recently won Luxury Resort and Spa of the Year for BC by Luxury Travel Guide. The Hilton is literally steps away from all the gondolas and the lively Village is just right outside your doorstep.

Our room was wonderfully comfortable and inviting. The warm colours made for a peaceful return from our activities. Our couch and bed were so comfortable, it was so easy to fall asleep on either. I think one of the most important details of my hotel stay as a traveller is how comfortable I feel in the room. Our room was spacious, clean and welcoming.

Additionally, it had a kitchen area with a full kitchen including a sink, dishwasher, stove top, microwave and a full refridgerator. It was perfect for all the items we picked up along the way up to Whistler!

The Hilton Whistler had great hospitality, we also got to check out the Cinnamon Bear Bar and Grille. I would definitely recommend staying here!
