On my last trip to Honolulu, we stumbled across this lowkey smoothie and coffee shop. This shop sells the fresh items from the plantation itself including the iconic Sweet Gold pineapples.
The Hawaiian Crown Plantation is owned by a group of family farms in Oahu and the Big Island. We ordered their 100% Pineapple Juice (fresh from the farm – $5) and their Frozen Kona Mocha ($6.50).
First off, the Pineapple juice. I don’t think you could get any more Hawaiian than having a fresh pineapple juice in the heart of Hawaii. The juice is deliciously sweet from the ripe pineapples and so easy to finish in a couple sips.
The Frozen Kona Mocha is such a delicious treat – the chocolate is also made on the farms and it’s just the right amount of sweetness to be decadent and addictive.
If you’re in the neighbourhood – which, if you’re in Waikiki, you will be – go check them out! We did try a couple of their smoothies and they were fantastic as well!
