We have also released a cookbook: Filipino Cooking Made Easy, a compilation of traditional Filipino dishes that can be made with local ingredients and easy to follow for beginners from my father’s home kitchen. He has been cooking for over 30 years to rave reviews.
In that respect, we have launched a Youtube channel that is entitled the CookShow! Which will have several regular people teaching their recipes. Currently, my father Joe (or Gastropapa, as we like to refer to him around the site!) has put up a multitude of Filipino cooking videos!
We cover How To, Health related articles, food and beverage product reviews, ask locals to give us their 5 places to eat under $10 and tips on great places around Vancouver and worldwide.

Inspired by her father’s cooking savvy and impeccable taste and her love of trying out new places, Dee decided to pursue her love of food. Although she much prefers eating at a local restaurant, she has also taken up cooking as a novice who has lots to learn and many recipes to try.
She is formally trained in Public Relations and Marketing but enjoys entrepreneurial startups, photography, video games, music and of course, food!
Dee is looking to build her relationships with fellow bloggers and readers, provide helpful reviews, pointers and authentic asian cuisine.
If you’d like to get in touch with her, contribute or just want to say hi, please email her at dee [at] gastrofork.ca. Hope to hear from you soon! <3

A true food lover and chef at heart, Nickie began cooking at a very early age. She began learning her way around a kitchen by helping her parents and other family members prepare meals. The first full meal she ever cooked by herself was at twelve years old after her dad and step mom were exhausted from a day of moving. From then on, she was hooked. She began experimenting with cooking and baking everything from basic steamed veggies to elaborately decorated multi-tiered cakes. Her mixed Asian- British background has helped inspire and encourage her culinary diversity. Today, she still enjoys cooking for her family and friends, always experimenting with new ingredients. She is now looking to expand her horizons and branch out into the world of foodies and food bloggers to share her experiences.

Fuelled by his curiosity to always try something new, Adrian’s passion for food began at a young age. Whenever his mom and aunt are in the kitchen, he would inquisitively ask if they needed any help. He would then proceed to take a bite out of whatever they were cooking/baking, sneakily of course. After joining his school’s Young Chefs Club during his 6th grade, he knew his love of food would just continue to grow.
After graduating from high school, Adrian decided to attend culinary school to take a stab at a career in the kitchen. Although he is no longer actively pursuing this profession, his basic understanding of the craft has allowed him to appreciate food even more.
Today, Adrian works in the digital space specializing in social media. His other interests include fashion, world travel, and exploring the vast YouTube universe.

Clever advertising, fat babies, horror movies and fine culinary cuisine, these are the things Liane Hung adores. But of course food ranks #1, a love she almost too passionately admits. Her interest of sharing what’s delicious began with her ritual of meeting up with friends during recess and discussing who brought the best snack that day. She always won.
Now a young member of society, Liane has decided to spread her knowledge of food outside of the playgrounds. She only hopes her attempts at humour while describing to the best of her ability “how that thing she ate tastes”, will bring a little bit of joy into your life, as much as food has brought joy into hers.
