The Rocky Road cake pop is far better than the Tiramisu one I tried the other day. The icing was dark chocolate topped with almond bits and small marshmallows (so cute!). Inside, the chocolate cake is moist, sweet and heavy. It’s definitely an after dinner dessert and I’m glad for it’s small size.
The Red Velvet Whoopie Pie is one of my favourite Petites. Don’t mind the nuts on the top of the pie, it’s from the Rocky Road pop! I don’t know why, but whenever I see Red Velvet cupcakes or cakes, I get kind of weirded out by the fact the cake is a crazy colour. The cakes are moist and not too sweet. I’m not fond of the red icing drizzled on the top because it was more aesthetics than flavour, and it stained my nails when I was holding the pie. The inside part is made of cream cheese frosting -a different take on the Whoopie Pie which normally has marshmallow icing. I enjoy the cream cheese frosting – it’s much better than Starbucks’ Valentines day cupcakes that have questionable tasting frosting that was stacked sky high. The Whoopie Pie is small, probably the size of a ping pong ball. I think they could make this pie a little bigger.
