I finally got to try this recipe! It’s an interesting and quick was to satisfy a sweet tooth but be prepared to share. There is absolutely no way anyone can finish this cake on their own – it’s immensely sweet.

I added all the dry ingredients before the wet ones into the cup but maybe next time I’ll switch it up because I found lumps of sugar at the bottom of the mug after I ‘baked’ it. Be sure to mix it very well so this doesn’t happen to you!

I had to microwave mine for 3 minutes – the consistency is more like a brownie and will be still wet on the top. Don’t over cook it. There is raw egg in this recipe so also make sure you don’t undercook it either!

4 tablespoons of flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons Nutella
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil


1. Combine all ingredients in a large coffee mug. Whisk with a fork until smooth. Microwave on high for 1 1/2-3 minutes.

2. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
