While the bigger, more popular trucks are nearby (hello Tacofino, Mom’s Grilled Cheese, Pig on the Street!) and Chipotle is just across the street – EAT Chicken Wraps has what us marketing people call a Unique Selling Proposition. You wouldn’t know at first glance, but according to their twitter account, they debone organic chicken every evening for every wrap made the following day. Wow. That’s enough for me to go back there again. Their menu is small but has great items on it.
Today I went with their Hoisin Chicken Roll (Right- $7). It’s basically the delicious five-spiced chicken you’re used to at the restaurants rolled up in a crispy Chinese pancake, served with Hoisin and green onion. I now know where I can get my Chinese fill when I’m downtown. I know my photo is terrible and it really doesn’t do this wrap justice. But it’s really great. The chicken is tender, grilled and delicious. The Chinese green onion pancake is perfect for this dish – it reminded me of Taiwanese places that serve that Beef Pancake roll, but here it isn’t as greasy.
They also have Kung Pao chicken lettuce wraps and some other flavours as well.
