My first trip to Las Vegas was when I was 16 – obviously, I was with my family and it was to celebrate my birthday. Since then, it’s been kind of our thing to try different hotels and resorts in Las Vegas and Wynn was one I wanted to scratch off my list.

My parents have stayed here previously and get promo codes from them from time to time. My friends (and Gastrofork contributors!) Liane and Adrian wanted to get away temporarily because we have been talking about doing a trip with just the three of us for a long time. Thankfully, my parents bestowed upon me their promo code (there are codes for friends and family as well) and we got to stay at this gorgeous hotel.

We stayed in a Deluxe Panoramic room – it didn’t have the view of the Las Vegas strip but had a really nice view of the huge golf course and the mountains. The room boasted floor-to-ceiling windows and had these controls that dimmed the lights, curtains and so on.

We managed to stay on the top floor and I thought it was really cool that they had my name on the phone (also on our hotel room card). What a great touch.

The space is big for what we needed it for – sleeping! It’s very well appointed, clean and the temperature in the room was perfect. The bed is comfortable and sleeps two fine. I don’t remember too much sleeping happening since we were in Vegas!

The bathroom is ridiculous, but good ridiculous. Ridiculous in a sense that it’s probably bigger than my current master bedroom. On one side there’s an all glass shower and a huge soaker tub. When you walk right in, there’s two sinks and a middle area to get ready. What a dream! The toilet is separated in it’s own room/closet for privacy.

If you haven’t walked through the property, it’s actually quite beautiful. The decor from the beautiful tiling, chandeliers, carpeting and tapestry are well thought out and gorgeous. There is artwork throughout the casino that passerbys can enjoy.

The check in area and area to access the hotel rooms are hidden, which is kind of nice rather than walking into a grandiose check in space.

The pools at the Wynn are the most impressive – clean and spacious. Towels are available along with water. You can also reserve a cabana space and there is a pool bar as well. Paradise.

Keeping with the theme of luxurious – their buffet is one of the best on the Strip. I’ve been here multiple times for lunch and I’ve never been disappointed with the selection. There is so much variety here, even if you came with the pickiest eater, I’m sure they’d find something they like. The food ranges from Italian, Japanese, American buffet classics and even a anti pasto bar that’s really well done.

I would definitely recommend staying at the Wynn, I keep my eye out for good deals now that I’m part of their mailing list, as I’d stay here again!
