SweetSalt Bakery is located on Fraser street and is much more than just your normal cafe/bakery. It’s super kid friendly with plenty of toys and an area made for kids. The entire place is kid friendly. SweetSalt specializes in Artisan breads and buns, German pretzels, cakes and pastries. They also have a couple lunch offerings (mostly panini, soups and salads).
I was in the area for work and came upon this cafe. I tried the Alpengluhen sandwich made with black forest ham, swiss cheese, spinach, tomatoes, kalamata olive tapenade, mustard and mayo. The bread was nice and crispy on the top and soft in the middle, I could’ve just had it on it’s own. The sandwich was good, I really liked the use of the olive tapenade as a spread. I also ordered their organic Thai soup.
Definitely a great place to go if you have little ones or work in the area and need a healthy and quality place to eat.
