“So, you get half a burger and half another burger?” was the first question my dad asked me when I mentioned the new 50/50 burgers at White Spot. What makes White Spot’s new burger lineup “50/50” is that their 1/3 pound patty is made with Canadian beef AND premium double-smoked bacon.
There are three 50/50 burgers:
Hawaiian 50/50 Burger – A 1/3lb. patty made with Canadian beef and premium double-smoked bacon, candied bacon, savoury bacon jam, tangy fresh pineapple, lettuce and red onion.
PBBJ 50/50 Burger – A 1/3lb. patty made with Canadian beef and premium double-smoked bacon, crunchy peanut butter, savoury bacon jam, pickled jalapenos, lettuce and tomato.
Classic Diner 50/50 Burger – A 1/3lb. patty made with Canadian beef and premium double-smoked bacon, caramelized onions, cheese and Dijon mayo.
I got to try the Hawaiian 50/50 burger and it was massive! The patty itself is juicy and had that distinctive bacon taste to it. I loved the huge chunk of pineapple in the burger – and everyone loves bacon so you can’t go wrong with the candied bacon and bacon jam. This burger is a handful (and mouthful) – you’ll definitely have greasy-fingers syndrome afterwards!
You can try one of these burgers now until October 11th. And for being a Gastrofork reader, I’m giving away three chances to try one of the 50/50 Burgers! I will randomly choose winners on Wednesday, Sept 30th. Good luck!
