I don’t think there is more of a living example of a dive diner than Fraser Park restaurant. Middle of nowhere location? Check. Ghetto vinyl table cloths? Check. Greasy, delicious, cheap food? Check.

Fraser Park is located in the middle of nowhere, Burnaby. It’s past a couple large complexes and then down a road you wouldn’t know unless you take a lot of industrial back roads in Burnaby.

The restaurant is busy – even with it’s random locale. Maybe it’s a Burnaby secret gem – or maybe because it was on You Gotta Eat Here! not too long ago – either way, it’s great to see a small, family run store busy. They have a system in place where you order first and then find a seat, as your food takes a little bit of time to make.

Fraser Park is known more for it’s Breakfast All Day menu including its German Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs with sauteed peppers, onion and cheese served with hash brown, sausage, bacon, ham, a potato pancake and toast – all this for $8.50. If you get the Deluxe German breakfast, it comes with a schnitzel and gravy.

I ordered just the German Breakfast and there was so much food on my plate! Everything you would want in a breakfast is right here. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart or faint of stomach. This hearty meal is obviously worth the $8.50 and the drive out to the middle of nowhere.
