I love me a good dive – but I love it when they’re open late, or in this case 24 hours. Lucy’s East Side Diner is located on Main and 11th and they serve almost anything you could possibly imagine a diner would serve and more.

This evening, I went with the Pulled Pork Pancake Stack ($9.50) and Brian went with The Marshalls burger ($13).

My pulled pork pancakes featured pulled pork on top and in the middle of my pancakes. It’s served with a fried egg and hashbrowns, but the pulled pork pancakes could be served on it’s own as it’s quite hearty! The pulled pork itself was tender, slightly sweet and not too salty. It worked really well with the pancakes and a bit of the maple syrup.

Brian had the show stopper for sure – the Marshalls burger consists of two pattys, bacon, mushroom, cheese, chili and a fried egg. It looked heart attack inducing, but delicious!

Diana and Amy shared the Mac n”Cheese & Pulled Pork Hoagie ($10).

I also ordered a chocolate milk shake ($5.25), which was perfect to share between me and Brian. The milkshake was as you would expect one to be – creamy, thick and cool. I’m glad that the milkshake wasn’t overly sweet either.

What I love about Lucy’s East Side Diner (other than the fact that they’re 24 hours) is that the portions are perfect and the staff is pretty approachable without being too overbearing. The restaurant itself is a little small and narrow, but it adds to the charm. I would definitely come back here to try some other items on their menu!
