The good people at Boodles sent me a bottle of their gin to try out. Since I’ve only really begun my journey in the world of gin, I took this opportunity to do what most do when trying it for the first time – mix it!
Boodls Gin is a perfectly balanced London Dry Gin, made from English winter wheat, distilled in Cheshire, bottled in Essex and packaged in a Scottish glass. What I like about Boodles is that it doesn’t have too much of a botanical taste to it – just a nice hint of it. The first time I had gin, I felt that the flavour was overwhelming for my newbie palate. This one is much more approachable and works well when you’re mixing.
This recipe was created by my brother in law, Josh who mixed it up at a recent dinner we all had together. It was a delicious mix that even I enjoyed.
1-2 oz Boodles gin
1-2 oz Grand Marnier
2-3 drops of Scrappy’s Orange Bitters
3/4 cup of Fanta Orange
Mint leaves for garnish
1. Over ice, pour all alcohol into your glass.
2. Add bitters.
3. Top with Fanta Orange.
4. Garnish with mint leaves.
