Teapressu is a food truck that specializes in bubble tea and an assortment of other tea-centric beverages.
While you can often find them near the Michael’s on Broadway during lunch, they offer evening delivery services in select parts of Burnaby (within 5km of Metrotown qualifies for free delivery, otherwise they have a standard charge). My sister and brother-in-law love frequenting them and asked us recently whether we wanted to place an order for delivery.
Bubble tea delivered to my door step? How could I say no to that!
I ordered their Matcha Milk Tea with Red Bean and Brian ordered their Milk Tea with Grass Jelly. What I really enjoyed about both drinks is how they are not overly sweet. They were the perfect amount of sweetness – even with the red bean and grass jelly added to it.
The Matcha Milk tea had a nice, definitive taste of matcha without the powdery taste you’ll find elsewhere. The red beans are prepared well – they still had structure to them when you bit into the bean but smooth over all. I’m guessing they’re not boiled in sugar or steeped in sugar, as I found the beans to be the perfect amount of sweetness.
The Milk Tea with Grass Jelly is great as well – hints of sweetness with a nice light taste to the milk. The grass jelly are big slabs – soft and almost meaty, but again, not too sweet.
Overall, I really enjoyed Teapressu’s bubble tea and I would go back/order again.
