As of today, La Taqueria has grown to 5 locations across across BC. Their latest addition is right in the heart of downtown Vancouver at 586 Hornby St. This particular location is the largest of all the eateries, seating 90 and offering counter service for grab and go. They also have Happy Hour from 3-6pm daily with $4 margaritas.
It seems not too long ago that this wonderful taco shop started off in Gastown owned by friends Marcelo Ramirez and Alfonso Sanz. Wanting to bring traditional Mexican street food but using local, organic an sustainable ingredients.
At each location, you’ll be able to find a lot more nowadays including 7 burritos on top of the tacos and quesadillas with some of the same great fillings you’ve come to love in their tacos. These burritos are massive and just as delicious as their taco counterpart. They’re great handhelds if you’re feeling like a heavier meal. You’ll also be able to find Lime Margaritas made with either Tequila or Mezcal, starting at $7.
La Taqueria Hornby is open Monday-Thursday 11am-8:30pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-late and Sunday from 12pm-6pm.
