Yama Cafe has spawned from the now closed Basho Cafe. From what I’ve been reading online is that the cafe itself switched hands with someone very familiar with the cafe. It is still run by Japanese owners and they serve similar items to Basho. The interior is pretty much the same.
I wanted to see if their Matcha latte was comparable to Basho and it seems like they haven’t changed the recipe at all – it’s still one of the best matcha lattes you can get in Vancouver. If you’re feeling going all out with matcha, they offer small treats like cookies and brownies that are matcha flavoured.
They offer some combos for lunch, which I’d love to come back and try as well.
