I think my hype for Taco Bell is actually getting to a point where it’s downright obsessive. I know a lot of ‘foodies’ look down upon people who like fast food, but honestly there’s just something satisfying in having a greasy meal from time to time. I think that to really enjoy food, you should be able to appreciate all types of meals and if you don’t want to be open minded, then this blog is probably not for you.

Alright, are all the haters gone? Let’s get back to the review. 🙂  I think it’s also something to do with nostalgia of the weekend trips I used to take with my parents down to the US. We always stopped at Bellis Fair and I’d have my Sbarro or Cinnabon. Taco Bell was always on the way to my relatives’ place, so we would have it here and there.

I know there is a Taco Bell here in the GVRD, but it’s a bit of a trip for me to get there. When I heard that Las Vegas was getting it’s own Taco Bell Cantina (and one that people actually get married at), I just had to go check it out!

If you’re wondering where it is along the strip, it’s located on the bottom floor of the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile shops (you can’t miss it, you can see it from the strip when you’re in that area).

While this is probably the nicest Taco Bell I’ve ever seen, it was a lot smaller than I initially thought it’d be. Not that this takes away from the experience at all – it’s a really nice Taco Bell. The order counter has a wall of Twisted Freeze mixes of different flavours, we had the Pina Colada one with a shot of vodka (you can get them without alcohol or with vodka, tequila or rum). I liked the decor, its fun, a bit higher end in feel but still true to the Taco Bell brand. It was super busy too when we were here.

There is patio seating – but during our trip it was about 44 degrees, so we opted to check out the second floor seating. This area is small but good enough to accommodate maybe 30-40 people.

The menu seems like there’s more here at the cantina, including some shareable meals and alcoholic drinks. These shareable meals are pretty affordable and include dippers, nachos and chicken tenders.

They also have a small area for Taco Bell merch, if you’re into that.

We ordered the XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito, Crunchwrap Supreme and the Naked Chicken chips.

The Crunchwrap is my favourite thing from Taco Bell – it’s basically a soft taco with a crunchy tortilla shell in the middle.

Their XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito is LARGE. I’m surprised we finished all our food, but just this burrito alone is worth it if you’re hungry.

The Naked Chicken chips are an interesting mix  – they’re kind of like chicken nuggets (although smaller) but shaped in a nacho shape and served with nacho cheese. They’re crispy on the outside with a bit of a kick and then savoury from the chicken inside. I think these would be great with salsa, sour cream and guac but the melted cheese isn’t so bad either.

I would definitely recommend checking out the Taco Bell Cantina if you love fast food and you’re in Vegas! They’re open 24 hours, so no excuses! 😉
