As we drove by looking for parking, I was shocked to see the huge patio outside and how busy it was (ok, it was the weekend, so I guess it should be busy!). But I was more shocked to see kids, dogs and families running around outside and inside! There were water spray areas outside, water for dogs and long tables where people were laughing and having fun. Inside is just as large and open – long tables and even raised seating in different areas. There are free pretzels that you can help yourself to. If none of these cues scream welcoming the community, I don’t know what does.
They have many beers on top and many to choose from – they have seasonal beers, barrel aged and special releases.
I had their refreshing Gose ($5), a nice sour, slightly citrusy beer that’s light and enjoyable to sip on during a hot summer day.
I would definitely come back here when I’m in Seattle, the space is huge and I love the environment. I wish they would have something similar here in Vancouver soon!
