My good friend Yana and I came here to catch up over smoothies and bond over being moms to babies that are born a couple weeks apart. And by catching up over smoothies in Mount Pleasant, I suppose that makes me a true blue Vancouverite, doesn’t it?
Radicle Juice is located near Main and 17th – they specialize in hand-prepared and pressed on demand juices, smoothies and Acai bowls. The staff are helpful and friendly and they do have a bit of seating near where you order and then upstairs as well.
I ordered the Dragonfly smoothie – it’s made with dragonfruit, ginger, strawberry, pineapple, orange juice and coconut milk. At first, I was worried the ginger would over power the entire smoothie (and I’m not a huge fan of ginger to begin with) – but it was quite muted in the flavours. You do get the hint of sweetness from the strawberries and pineapple and the aftertaste is definitely from the citrus of the orange and a bit of the ginger. I felt like this smoothie was also made heavier with the coconut milk. I enjoyed this smoothie and I would definitely order it again!
