If you’re looking for a fun date night, I’d highly suggest Bacio Rosso. I was invited to the Premiere Night of Bacio Rosso and it was a lot of fun – I don’t want to give away too much of the entertainment but there is a fantastic emcee – Lady Rizo – who has a wonderful voice and sharp, witty humour that entertained us throughout the entire evening. You’ll also find different acts, acrobats and even an entertaining, lighthearted storyline.

I’d like to call this dinner theatre because it’s not only you eating your dinner and watching what’s going on stage – everything around you is part of the act. Your server could be an acrobat or a magician. And the ones who were servers still had to perform and keep up the high energy as they ran their food to your table.

There isn’t a bad seat in the house, as the show is pretty immersive as entertainers came to many of the tables, regardless of whether you were in the inner circle area or seated in the booths up top.

Your dinner is a four course meal created by Chef Adam Pegg of La Quercia, a celebrated chef here in Vancouver. But you can read about the meal experience I wrote a couple weeks back here.

To put a precise name or categorize Bacio Rosso would be difficult to do – it’s part cabaret, dinner theatre and cirque all under one tent. Everyone at the premiere night had a grand ol’time – there was even a conga line at one point in the evening. You won’t find anything remotely like this in Vancouver – I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Bacio Rosso is on now until December 31, running Weds-Thurs. Tickets range from $119-$219 depending on where you sit.
