Crush Grand Tasting is the perfect way to try a whole slew of new wines. We were given a chance to check out the Early Entry – which made it easier to get through to all the wines we were looking forward to and chat with some of the winemakers and producers. But asides from the wine, you’ll find some great bites to accompany all the vino!

Some of the highlights for me that evening:

The 2013 Zinfandel Earthquake is 100% Zinfandel, smooth to the taste but boasts 15.5% alcohol. It is full-bodied, offering briary, peppery, meaty and herbal black fruits and some red fruits.

TINHORN CREEK VINEYARDS GEWURZTRAMINER – The flavor is lychee, guava and rosewater notes. The layers of fruit that has a subtle sweetness to it that is light to drink and easy to drink lots of!

The Vibrant Wine – all their designs are in 3D! I had WOOPS 2017, and it is the winner of the 2013 best white wine in the world! It is fresh, vibrant, zesty, clean and crisp – again, a wine that pairs wonderfully with food or to be consumed on its own. I would love to have this with some seafood.
