Ramen Gojiro is a popular spot downtown – mostly known for it’s chicken karaage served along with their bowls of ramen.

We ordered the Karaage to start ($6.50) – the portion size is a good amount and the chicken was breaded to a nice crisp while still being juicy on the inside.

The Basic Ramen ($10.75) can either come with Karaage or Chashu, of course went with the karaage. We also added extra garlic. You can also select whether you want your soup base to be rich or light – we went with rich. The noodles are the perfect amount of springy texture to it while still being chewy but soft enough to enjoy. There is already a good amount of garlic in the dish, so ordering the extra garlic might have been…a bit extra (badumtiss!). The broth is super rich, not too salty and has a nice flavour to it.

At Ramen Gojiro, you can also make your ramen into a combo, they also have a kids bowl as well. You’ll find seasonal specials too.
