VanDusen Eggciting Easter Hop

April 19-21
Kids 0 to 5 years can collect eggs near the maze area and receive a chocolate prize, hop along to fun music on the great lawn, take a photo with the Easterbunny, plant a micro greens plant to take home, and enjoy other eggciting activities at the garden. Please bring your own basket.

Bunny ears and costumes are encouraged with prizes awarded for best costume during each session. We will have food trucks on-site so you can purchase tasty treats after the hunt. Tickets include entry to the entire 55-acre garden so make sure to enjoy a picturesque walk after the Easter activities. Camellias, early rhododendrons, cherry blossoms and magnolias are in full bloom!

Dessert lovers will be wowed by the impressive and colourful spread of sweets, skillfully produced by Executive Pastry Chef Suraj Karmakar and his team. Guests can expect an array of these charming Easter themed treats, including traditional favourites such as fragrantly spiced hot cross buns and fun new treats such as broken egg panna cotta, Easter marzipan log cakes and choux mushrooms that are almost too cute to consume. A live s’mores cookie station will also be ready to dish up decadent, freshly torched s’mores cookies for the kids.

Juke Fried Chicken’s Turducken Feast Available for Pick Up

The bird’s the word this Easter as Juke Fried Chicken brings back their popular Turducken Feast for pick-up exclusively at their Little Juke location (1074 Davie Street) on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21.

Juke’s Easter Turducken Feast feeds six to eight people and includes pre-sliced turducken — a three-in-one showstopper featuring roasted turkey, duck and chicken — accompanied by large sides of fried Brussels sproutsherb-roasted potatoesfennel pork and pistachio stuffing, Cacio E Pepe fried cauliflower, and country biscuits with whipped schmaltz as well as a nostalgic package of marshmallow Peeps.

Perfect for intimate family dinners and larger gatherings, Railtown’s hassle-free Easter To-Go packages are fully cooked and ready to heat and serve. Each Easter feast includes a full-sized honey-glazed bone-in ham accompanied by artisanal salads, house-made breads and an array of seasonal side dishes, including scalloped potatoes with gruyère cheese, braised red cabbage and roasted root vegetables. 

Packages are available in both small (four to six servings) and large (10 to 12 servings) sizes for $199 and $329 plus tax, respectively. Hot, ready-to-eat packages are also available for an extra charge of $30 for small packages and $50 for large packages.
