Beginning April 15th, White Spot will be offering the Beyond Burger to it’s line-up of famous burgers. The 100% plant based patty has taken off in the market and it’s great to see local businesses make room for more plant-based protein offerings on their menus.
The Avocado Beyond Burger is a delicious one: fresh avocado, pickled onions, roasted corn, lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus. You also have the option of having any burger at White Spot in a lettuce wrap (which I love doing). I got to try the Avocado Beyond Burger the other day and I have to say that it might be my new go-to when I visit White Spot. The crunchy properties and freshness brings a unique, great flavour to the burger. I gave some to Brian to try and maybe a little while later mentioned that it was plant-based and he was surprised how it didn’t even taste like it at all.
On top of the Avocado Beyond Burgers, the Beyond Burger patty is featured in the also new Southwest Power Bowl (avocado, cherry tomatoes, radish, roasted corn, cabbage, quinoa, jasmine rice with greens, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus.
You can substitute the Beyond Burger patty to any of your favourite White Spot burgers for $1.99.
You’ll also be able to find the Beyond Burger at Triple O’s starting May 6th. It’s great to see a legendary local chain pick up this great option!
