I came for lunch with Nathalie, still pretty busy for the middle of the day.
We started off with Escargots. It came out piping how and drenched in butter and garlic. Is there anything more appetizing than food thats packed with garlic? I think not. The escargot has a nice bounce to them but not overly chewy.
I ordered the Steak Frites. It comes with salad as well and it’s a generous portion for lunch. The steak is cooked whichever way you prefer and then drizzled in their gravy.
The gravy has an interesting flavour to it- it’s brighter than most gravies with a hint of a citrusy/floral flavour to it. The fries are nice and crisp and cooked perfectly and the salad was a welcome balance to this dish.
I’m definitely coming back for dinner to try more items!
