It’s that time of year to head back to school and also back to work. Whether you’re a college student or a mom of a one year old who’s teething and keeping you up at night – coffee is your best friend. There are so many different options for coffee out there and the Hamilton Beach Flexbrew is a great way to satisfy all your coffee needs.
We were sent one to test out, and here’s our thoughts:
First of all, it comes in a couple of colours – my favourite is the Mint colour. You’re able to choose or go between coffee pods or ground coffee, so it’s perfect for sharing or for days where you’re in a hurry. The cup area is also customizable to fit tall to-go coffee containers to a simple coffee mug – it also functions as a brew basket holder so you wont be losing any parts!
You can brew up to 14 oz. (with ground coffee) or 8 oz. (pods) – all you have to do is pour in the correct amount of water, which is easy to see on the side of the machine and place your coffee in the brew basket.
What I like about the Flexbrew is that it’s pretty quiet when making the coffee – which is perfect because when I go to work, I try not to wake up baby in the process. It’s also pretty quick, coffee dispenses in about a minute.
The temperature of the coffee is good, and the strength of the coffee really depends on how you like your coffee. For coffee pods, I use the 6oz. and for the grounds, I went with 8-10oz (just because I like my coffee with a bit more darkness to it).
I also like it’s slim profile as I don’t have that much space in my kitchen for a coffee machine, so it’s perfect for small spaces.
