What was once just available in the US, Costco has brought over here – ready to eat tacos! You’ll find these in the same area you find salads, chicken pot pies and the other ready-to-eat items. I bought them recently because I wanted to see whether they were worth the money (I paid approximately $12 for mine, I think they go by weight).
It doesn’t look like much in the clear container it comes in but it’s definitely something you can feed a family of 4 with. It’s got all the fixings – chicken, shredded cabbage, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese and the tortillas. I warmed up the tortillas and the chicken which didn’t take very long.
The flavour over all is good – its not too salty and overpowering and the sour cream has a great, bright taste to it. I think my only gripe is that there isn’t enough salsa and sour cream for all the tacos, so hopefully they can add more to the mix.
