Hamilton Beach Sure Crisp Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Rotisserie
I am always searching for ways to make home cooking easier – especially with a toddler to chase after nowadays. When Hamilton Beach approached me to try their new Sure Crisp Digital Air Fyer (Toaster Oven w/Rotisserie!), I was, obviously, very excited to do so!
The oven has 6 different settings and is super easy to use and set up. For the air fryer, you’ll find it is quite comparable to any other air fryer you’ll find on the market. There’s a metal mesh basket for the air frying – but also a bake pan, broil rack and rotisserie stick.
For my first time using it, I’m making a roast with roast veggies and air fried potatoes.
For the roast, I preheated the oven to 450 and roasted it for 15 minutes, then reduced the heat to 350 for 2 hours. I was making this roast for my parents, who are not big fans of medium-well, so we cooked it a little longer for their sake.
For the veggies, I cranked up the heat to 400 and put it to Pizza mode (as default temperature is 400 degrees). I seasoned the veggies with salt, pepper and some olive oil. It took about 15-20 minutes for it to get to the roast state that we wanted.
For the potatoes, I used a couple small spuds and cut them up and tossed them in a teeny bit of olive oil and some salt and pepper, put them into the air fryer basket and used the Pizza Mode. This took a bit longer, it took about 30 minutes for it to get to the roast state we liked.
Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the oven – it’s a great all in one tool for your kitchen – especially if you have limited space. That being said, it is a little bit on the bigger side in terms of appliances but it will negate the necessity of having an air fryer, toaster oven and a rotisserie, so totally worth the space it takes.
In terms of heating and cooking, I’d say it’s best to go a bit higher with the heat and expect a bit longer than the timing in the manual (the weather can also play into the heating/cooking process, as it does with any type of way you would cook).
