The Pumpkin Patch is open this year! We went super early this year to beat the crowds (I think we went on the third day). There are two options this year to help with social distancing: one where you walk out to the field and another where you can take the wagon ride complete with entertainment.

The train and the band are not in play this year, just cuz COVID-19.

The fields are large and easy to distance yourself from others.

We went with the walk out option and there were plenty of pumpkins to choose from. On top of that, we were able to check out the dahlia fields again (when we went for the Sunflower Festival) and Winston got to swing in his favourite swing for a longer time since there were maybe another 2-3 families in the field with us.

I’m so glad that Richmond Country Farms and the other patches are able to open, so that kids can have some sort of semblance of normalcy during all this.

They’re open Monday to Fridays from 10am to 4:30pm, you have to order your tickets in advance and they have half an hour timeslots for entry.

Masks are mandatory for check-in and on the wagon should you choose to go that route.

To do the walkout option is $12 on weekdays and $15 on weekends and holidays. The Wagon ride is $20.20 (taxes included). Children 2 and under are free but must be accompanied by an adult.
