That being said, I don’t want to be in an area of complete seclusion. Crystal Lodge is located in the heart of Whistler Village, but was a quiet retreat for me and my husband. It was very easy to get to most places. This hotel is a good economy option for Whistler. You can walk within ten minutes to the beautiful plaza with the iconic Olympic Rings or go to the North village and enjoy some Peaked Pies.
I stayed in a Crystal Single Room, which was accented with lovely blues and whites. This is a budget option ideal for a young professional or a devil-may-care skiier. Inside was a double size bed, a soaker tub in the bathroom and a small lounge to relax.
If you stay here, you also get a discount at various vendors, including the Old Spaghetti Factory which is right downstairs. Perfect for those late nights after skiing or exploring Whistler. We came to the Spaghetti Factory late night and I was wearing my hotel slippers, but the staff had a good sense of humour. I got myself some chocolate and had a quiet night in on my last day.
