Of course their MO is bringing you some damn good fries, but they also have several other indulgent items on their menu including burritos, crunch wraps, quesidillas and yes, deep fried desserts.
Since I’m a fan of crunch wraps, I just had to try the Cali Crunch – you can add Flamin’ Hot Cheetos or Flamin’ Hot Doritos to it as well – so I decided to try it with Doritos. You get to choose what kind of meat goes into the crunch wrap (along with all the other menu items): Carne Asada, Pollo Asado or no meat. You can also add a side of Queso for no additional charge. What else is in this crazy crunch wrap? An organic , crunchy tostada, lettuce, tomato, cheese, cilantro, onions, guacamole and spiked ranch all wrapped in a huge tortilla.
The crunch wrap has a good weight to it and is packed with all these ingredients. Think of it as an elevated crunch wrap you’re used to. Of course, because they use fresher ingredients, the taste is a lot better than a normal crunch wrap. It’s got nice, big chunks of meat and the addition of the tostada and Doritos gives it a satisfying crunch in every bite. This is a hefty portion, so it’s perfect if you’re starving or maybe wanting to share (but trust me, you wont want to share).
Other items in the menu include the NorCal Burrito (meat, fries, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, their secret sauce and queso). It’s packed to the max and teeming with flavour that’ll make you wanna take a nap after you’re done.
Their claim to fame of course is their fries – here is the SoCal Asada Fries which is as heavy as a newborn baby and served with curly fries, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, cilantro, grilled onions, grilled jalapeno, secret sauce and a protein of your choice.
Finally, they have a couple deep fried desserts that I just couldn’t shy away from. They have the #FryedCheeseCake which is incredibly creamy, velvety in the middle and perfectly battered and fried to a crisp on the outside. The cheesecake also comes with chocolate sauce, but honestly it’s quite delicious on it’s own.
I also tried the OMG Cookies: 4 double stuffed Oreos battered in kruzteas sweet cream mix and also served with a side of chocolate. This one had a little more batter than the cheesecake but it was so crispy on the outside and had a sweet, satisfying crunch in the inside.
Vancouver has had many great pop-ups come through, and we are so glad for this one!
