Now that my maternity leave is over, I’m back to work full force and one of the closest restaurants from my office is Assembli. Assembli is known for it’s one price, choose your own toppings on a pizza or salad. That being said, they do have some recipe pizzas and salads if you’re in the mood to try those as well.
For $14, you can build your own pizza and salad – so that’s what I did recently.
The first pizza I put tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, red peppers, red onion, kalamata olives, artichoke, pepperoni, ham, mozza, cheddar topped with basil and their original crust.
My second pizza was sauteed mushrooms, red peppers, red onion, roasted garlic, artichoke, herb-roasted chicken and a smoked cheddar on their original crust.
I decided to stick with one of their signature salads – the kale caesar.
I’d have to say that I really enjoyed my pizza, both kinds for taste. There’s a good amount of toppings on each pizza and not too much that it becomes soggy.
The kale caesar comes with a protein of your choice, so I went with chicken. I didn’t really find the caesar too memorable and I felt that the pizza’s pricing was better than getting the salad for the same price.
Overall, I’d definitely visit again for the pizzas!
