After eating a couple doors down (Stepho’s), my parents and I decided to have coffee at this relatively new shop. It was actually so new, it wasn’t on Urbanspoon until just now. As you can imagine, this cafe features French pastries and desserts. My sweet tooth sized up all these wonderful things and decided on the 3 Chocolate Mousse.

My parents ordered an egg cake to share (I’m sure it has a fancier name than that, but I cannot recall off the top of my head).

Both cakes were amazing in their own way, the Chocolate Mousse was decadent and such a great treat! The egg pie was less sweet, dense and had a creamy taste to it.

The Americano was great, I believe it’s Kicking Horse Coffee (but I’m not entirely sure). The roast was slightly sweet and not bitter at all, a great cup of coffee.

My only complaint was that the utensils at the bar were dirty. And not water stains dirty, actual caked on dirt. I had to go through a couple spoons to find a clean one to stir my coffee with.

Other than that, it’s a great little place to stop in to pick up some affordable French desserts.
