On May 30th at the Boathouse, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly held #pedi4cause, a charity event with proceeds going to Beauty Night Society. With a fantastic assortment of finger food including Ahi tuna tacos (my pick of the night), spring rolls, chicken, breaded coconut shrimp and a sushi spread to name a few – we were fed pretty well!

I’d like to take a second here and say that I was invited to this event and not paid or expected to write a review.

Additionally, you were able to sign up for a foot buff, mini-pedicures and a massage. Definitely one of the best parts of the evening, now my feet are ready to go for the summer (whenever that decides to show up in Vancouver)!

I was impressed with the dessert spread which included three different flavoured cheesecakes and chocolate covered strawberries (on sticks and without them).

Barefoot Wines kept the vino flowing throughout the entire night which was incredibly generous and a little dangerous for this lil food blogger. Their goal is to pour 500,000 glasses of wine nationally for charity this year and I’m sure they made a bit of a dent in that last night!

Their amazing and affordable wines were tasty. We had several varieties to choose from: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Moscato, Bubbly Pinot Grigio and even a Mojito! My favourites of the evening were definitely the Pinot Grigio – both versions. I found the Moscato was very sweet but would probably pair well with something on the saltier side (I’m no wine expert, but I like my balance of sweet and salty in my meal!). With wines under $10 and available at the BC Liquor Stores, check this wine out for an inexpensive treat!
