Nathalie and I really tried doing almost all the downtown ones in a day, but it was literally impossible because we were both pretty tired off all the sugar we consumed! Bel Cafe was our last stop of the day and we were lucky to make it just in time before they close.
We shared the Peppermint Patty which is made from 70% Valrhona guanaco chocolate infused with organic peppermint and vanilla bean chantilly. It is also served with a double fudge cookie. I believe the hot chocolate was around $7.
I really enjoyed the Peppermint Patty at Bel Cafe, at first I thought I wouldn’t because the thought of peppermint and chocolate together in a drink (at bigger chains) tend to be very sweet. However, it was fantastically light and had a nice hint of the peppermint flavour. I would definitely recommend you check out this hot chocolate, especially if you’re a fan of peppermint or just a borderline fan like I am!
