On the corner of the Fairmont Pacific Rim is a little slice of heaven called Bella Gelateria. Hands down, this is the best gelato in town. James, the owner of BG went to study in Italy and came back to share his passion with us.

Testing different flavours often, there is always something new amongst popular flavours. I don’t know why it took me so long to try this place when I keep hearing about it on Twitter, but I’m glad I took the trip with a good friend from Toronto.

I tried the Chocolate Noir 85% and the Hazelnut. The chocolate was very rich and creamy and then the hazelnut was so spot on, I don’t think I could choose which one I liked better.

My friend tried the Black Sesame (which came highly recommended) and the Straciatella. I got to try a little bit of both, I have to say I liked the Black Sesame better than the Straciatella. It wasn’t too overpowering and it was definitely something I wouldn’t have normally tried.

Food:
Best gelato in town. ‘Nuff said.

Ambiance:
A very clean and bright space, it’s a bit small, but I’m sure they’ll expand.

Value:
There are a lot of gelato places that are in the similar price bracket, but because the premium flavours are hand crafted and tastes so much better than many other gelato shops, I feel that the price is justified.

Service:
Our server was friendly, but we didn’t get to interact with them so much.
