I’ve been missing Germany lots since I’ve left there. My friends have always told me to try Bestie. I actually avoided it for a bit to avoid being disappointed from trying the real thing to a novelty thing. But I was wrong. This tastes the same as the street vendors back in Germany. I mean the only real difference is the price (waaay cheaper back in Deustchland) but Vancouver is expensive in general anyway.
They had watermelon feta salad. I had this with my black beer. So tasty!
Lunch of champs. I love beer.
And here’s the winner: Currywurst. I’ve been looking for a good place with curry ketchup. I tried it at Fritz on Davie and was disappointed how sweet it was in comparison to what I had in Germany. Bestie gets it right. I wasn’t super impressed with the pretzel I ate, but the currywurst was good hands down.
Just wishing there was a cheaper take-out method, but otherwise I would come back. 3.5/5
