Bob’s Submarine Sandwiches

You may have walked past this place when you’re in Richmond – unassuming and as old as time, Bob’s Sandwiches serves up the cheapest breakfast and lunch you’ll find in Richmond (ok, maybe not the only place, but one of the cheapest!). There is nothing more deserving of the name ‘dive’ than Bob’s Sandwiches. It’s aged, but still good.

I ordered the Steak and Capicollo, the 6 inch was $4.90. Honestly, I don’t know if I have the strength to do the 12 inch, but perhaps if I was starving I might! I tricked Brian into getting the Super Sub which is double most ingredients and he felt like it was so much food.

As you can see from the sandwich, it’s quite dense and heavy, filled with tomato, lettuce, bacon and the meats and cheese. It’s a good balance. Taste wise, it’s what you would expect from a steak and capicollo sandwich, and if you’re looking to get full, it’s perfect.

Would I come here again? I certainly would, their breakfast is cheap and I’d like to attempt their Super Sub one day!
