For this particular brunch, I brought my dad along with me. We started off with some orange juice. I’d love to see some mimosas on their future brunch menu.
My dad ordered the Dungeness Crab Benedict ($15) with lemon, tomato and fresh herbs. The dish is served with breakfast potatoes, nicely browned and with a bit of red and yellow pepper and onion.
I ordered the Prime Rib Benedict ($15), that had a nice thick slice of the prime rib and some blue cheese, pickled onions and horseradish. Out of the two, I enjoyed mine the most. There is something about prime rib with blue cheese that is just a great match. Also, the eggs are perfectly made here and the Hollandaise is great.
What I’d like to try one of these days at Grain is their Crab Louie and Grain Steak Salad, both $14 and available on their Lunch Menus – they always look divine when I see them on other people’s Instagram.
Please note that my meal was paid for by the Hyatt Vancouver but all opinions are my own.
