Anyway, without further ado, here’s the recipe.
You’ll Need:
1 cup sweet rice
3-3 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup unsweeted cocoa
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla
Instructions:
1) Cook the rice in a pot with the water. You may want to add more water depending on how thick you’d like your champorado. Think of it like congee and what kind of consistency you like it.
Sweet rice can be found at Superstore and other asian supermarkets, I bought this kind.
2) Stir the mixture constantly so the rice doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot.
3) When the rice is cooked, add the cocoa, sugar and vanilla. You can also use chocolate bars but you’ll have to put some cocoa powder anyway to colour the dish. MIX.
4) Boom! You’re done. Enjoy!
