I took lunch to go, I wanted to the the Kimchi Fried Rice but ended up getting the Dae-Ji Pork Cutlet ($8.90) because I saw someone being served and it looked amazing. The cutlet comes with coleslaw, corn and pickled radishes and some rice. The pork cutlet is nicely breaded, making it crisp on the outside but making it nice but firm on the inside. The gravy isn’t too salty and there is just enough for it and the rice. I should also mention that you get TWO pork cutlets, I could barely finish one so I had a little left over for dinner!
Dae-Ji gets busy during the lunch hour, especially given it’s proximity to schools and businesses in the downtown core. I went around 2pm and it was a little bit slower, so the best bet is to show up right when they open or after the lunch rush.
