Dine Out Vancouver festival is back again for it’s 17th year. The festival has grown over the years to not only include the prix fixe menus but also fun events around the city including a World Chef Exchange dinner series with international chefs around the world and not to mention Street Food City located right outside Vancouver Art Gallery.
Here are my picks for this year’s Dine Out Vancouver Festival by price!

Heritage Asian Eatery
This restaurant is on my to-eat list, everything looks fantastic here and at the price point, it’s not a bad one to check out if you’re in the area!
Lin Chinese Cuisine
For $15, you can’t go wrong with a 3 course meal. I recommend ordering the xiao long bao on the side to really check out what they offer!
Popina
Now is the best time to try out Vancouver’s newest fave – Popina! I’d recommend their cheeseburger. Their puff creams look amazing too!

Afghan Kitchen
It’s a feat to find great Afghan/Middle Eastern cuisine in the Lower Mainland, but it’s a treat to find a couple on the Dine Out Vancouver roster!
Cannibal Cafe
Classic diner food – the deep fried pop tart caught my attention!
Juke Fried Chicken
I’ve been a fan of Juke Fried Chicken, but I’ve never got to try their desserts – so when I saw that a dark chocolate parfait was on the menu, I put them on my list!
Mary’s on Davie
It’s nice to see this Vancouver institution back in business – go check out their diner for dine out!

The Bottleneck
This fun spot is right next to the Commodore Ballroom downtown and is serving up some classics (like waffle nachos with elk chorizo or their banana split!)
Carthage Cafe
Have you ever had Tunisian/French food? Neither have I, let’s change that.
Chambar
Chambar is always the gold standard when it comes to dine out!
Chewies Steam Oyster Bar
Eating at Chewies is always a good time – good staff, good food. Their Chicken and Waffles are my go-to (other than the oysters of course).
Chi Modern Vietnamese Kitchen
Try out some Vietnamese flavours that have been given an upscale twist (like sablefish claypot or wagyu beef carpaccio!).
Chicha
Chicha makes a mean cocktail and serves up some great Peruvian flavours!
Coquille
This restaurant is also on my to-eat list, and what I love about Dine Out is that it makes it easy to check out some of the menu for a fair price!
Cuchillo
This Latin American restaurant had such an interesting and diverse menu, I’d definitely be interested to try it out.
Fanny Bay Oyster Bar
Another restaurant on my to-eat list!
Maenam
Maenam is one of my favourite places in the city for Thai – if you haven’t been, you must!

Treat yo self to some of these higher end restaurants at a good price point!
Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar
The menu looks divine!
Brix & Mortar
Another Vancouver classic, it’s a nice, cozy romantic spot.
Cafe Il Nido
One of the best places for Italian in the city.
Forage
Forage seems to be a staple on my list every Dine Out but for good reason – they always have something delicious on their menu.
Notch 8
I really enjoyed my experience at last year’s dine out at Notch 8 – very creative and fun dishes.
West
One of Vancouver’s best restaurants, put it on your list to try if you havent already! Also, their cocktails are divine!
