Dirty Apron is one of those places I knew existed for a long time but never really thought of going to – until I took a fantastic cooking class with a friend. The bonus is that they have a deli on the other side, serving up fresh baguette, soups and salads. There is a multitude of things you can buy here and staying for more than 30 minutes means that my wallet is pretty much empty when I leave.

I went with a baguette for lunch – more specifically the Thai Beef Steak which was recommended by my instructor a couple evenings ago during my class. It did not disappoint – with papaya, tamarind vinaigrette, Thai basil and crushed peanuts – it may not look like much, but quite filling!

Nathalie went with the Roast Chicken served with chipotle mayo, sundered tomatoes, parmesan and watercress. It was difficult to decide which one I liked more, as they both had good qualities.

We also went with Philips Ginger Ale and Good Drink’s White Tea. A word to the wise, Philips ginger ale is very strong in the ginger taste – so be warned!

Not pictured was their delicious muffin tops, which, let’s be honest, is the best part of the muffin anyhow. I hear that on occasion, they have churros. So…I’ll definitely be back for that.
