It was an incredible transformation of the space. I used to avoid the Fox Cinemas, because it once was a porn theatre and there are sketchy men about. But I would come to this hip, friendly venue in the future for shows. Everyone who works here were funny and the rights amount of sass. The beer is quite cheap so I will be back to have a good time on weekends. I generally frequent Main Street, so this is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
While the space is not fully completed yet—the upstairs cocktail bar will be finished later this month—the group is excited to get going on the project, which has been over a year in the making. “We want to open the space up to the community,” says Arrival’s Ernesto Gomez. “Our objective with the Fox is to be a central part of the cultural life in Mount Pleasant and in the city of Vancouver as a whole.”
