But back to the market. There are just so many vendors here, but here are some that stood out to me:
Johan and Helma Tuijtel from Triple Island Farm and their stacks of delicious cheese being cut up right then and there. My father is an extremely big fan of cheese and so I couldn’t leave the Farmer’s Market without a wedge of the Maasdammer (Swiss Emmental). The Maasdammer had a smooth and slightly sweet taste to it. It was so enjoyable, my dad finished it fairly quick! Looks like I’ll have to make a trip again soon.
I did a little homework before heading to the market and wanted to scope out Habby Jack’s stand. They produce hot sauces – but I was most interested in their ghost pepper hot sauce. This isn’t a walk in the park – you have to love the heat to enjoy this and with just a bit of a taste of it, I was instantly hooked. It’s now sitting in my cupboard, I’m anticipating when I can incorporate it into my cooking. Very soon.
Flying Leaf Tea – I walked past this stand and I thought of Nathalie and her Tea Tuesdays. Thankfully, Flying Leaf had an assortment of teas, so look out for Nathalie’s review to come soon!
