Richmond Country Farms is a fully functioning farm (and market) that’s open almost all year round. During October, they put on their Pumpkin Patch – a fun, family friendly space to take your little ones to pick their pumpkins.
When you enter, you’ll be surrounded by their ‘town square’ where you’ll find a hay bale area for kids to play in, live entertainment by your favourite fruit friends, food vendors and even a train ride if you feel so inclined. You can hop onto the hay ride for a quick jaunt around the farm (with fun Halloween-themed things to see) and then into the pumpkin patch. Their pumpkin patch area is carefully curated and well kept, so it’s perfect for little ones.
You’ll also find some great Insta-worthy spots to take a photo including a rusted truck, a hay bale area, wooden swings and more.
The Pumpkin Patch is definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon with little ones, the best time to go is middle of the week of course when there aren’t too many people.
Price wise, it’s a bit more on the pricier side, but worth it for the entertainment and set up. It’s $11 for weekday admission (3 and under are free), $14 for weekends and an additional $4 to go on the train.
