Sabra has recently released it’s new, limited-edition flavor: Salsa Verde. This mix of hearty, citrus and slight heat is not only a great addition but perfect for summer time cookouts.
I was recently invited to meet Corporate Executive Chef of Sabra’s Global Centre of Excellence Mary Dawn Wright and have her go through the process of selecting the right chickpeas for Sabra to the perfect way to enjoy your hummus (hint: do not overswirl the hummus otherwise the texture will be completely off!).
While the most traditional way to enjoy hummus is with some pita or as a dip, I’d definitely recommend it as a spread in sandwiches, add a dollop to your salads and pizzas – or another favourite of mine, using it in pasta.
Here’s a quick and easy pasta salad recipe I make during warmer days like the ones we’ve been having recently. I used to use Greek salad dressing but found the flavor to be a bit more bitter than I enjoyed, so I switched it up using hummus and I don’t think I’ll ever go back at this rate!
