Have you ever experienced a Screamer? No, its not what you think it is! I’m talking about the half slurpee, half ice cream treat that is served up in Steveston. There are two places in Steveston to get this treat – this time I tried out Screamers Soft Serve and Treats right on Third Avenue near the docks. Can you believe this is the first time I’ve ever had a screamer? I think it’s because I’m barely in Steveston and also because I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to my sugar sweets.
Today, Brian ordered the Crush Cream Soda with Vanilla and I ordered the Root Beer with Vanilla (I wanted Dole Pineapple, but I was advised against it by the lady who was at the stand today). We ordered the regular size but honestly we could’ve done with the small size, this treat is quite sweet and filling. The best is to mix it all up and enjoy this creamy root beer float-type drink. It’s very refreshing and cool and the perfect indulgence after walking around Steveston during the day time.
I think I’ll come back to try just their Dole Pineapple Soft Serve!
