After a dinner closeby, we decide to indulge our sweet tooth with some bubble tea. Xin Fu Tang is most famously known for it’s brown sugar pearls – where, you guessed it – the tapioca pearls are boiled in brown sugar giving them a sweet, caramelly flavour.

I went with the traditional Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea ($6.50) and we also tried the Bunny Mango Smoothie ($6.95) that’s served with a bunny shaped milk pudding and strawberry pearls on the bottom.

Xin Fu Tang originates from the birth place of bubble tea – Taiwan. They import their key ingredients from Taiwan and use the recipe that they’ve been using for decades over there.

I find their Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea is flavourful without being too syrupy – but fresh and caramelly. You would be hard pressed to find a better brown sugar milk tea in the city.

The Bunny Jelly Mango Smoothie has great taste to it as well and the bunny on top is so cute, it’s so hard to eat.

TOO CUTE.

At certain locations, you can find brown sugar pearl soft serve ($4.50) – including this particular location.
